First, the good news. If you haven't used a central vacuum, they are so much better than any portable vacuum. The motor is much stronger so it really sucks up the dirt well. Also, with the vacuum unit in the garage or basement, you aren't redistributing the dirt air back into the house. I have the Vacuflo DB5000 and the vacuum unit works very well. On the other hand, the quality of the attachments is much lower than the unit itself. The hose is junk. It is very light weight, so it constantly kinks, blocking off the airflow, until you go and unkink it. also, the hose has a sleeve over it. Perhaps this was designed to avoid marking up walls and floors, but it just causes problems. The sleeve falls down the hose very rapidly and is just in the way. The sleeve also collects dust, and if you have pets, expect it to be covered with pet hair. The carpet attachment works very well, but the caller into which the wand attaches cracked very rapidly, causing the little snap-ring inside it to move and jamb. Lastly, the main hard-floor attachment fell apart after about 10 months. Putting it back together doesn't work, because it just keeps falling apart. I had to buy a replacement, but I bought an aftermarket version, because I wasn't going to spend money on the same junk.

I installed a vacuflo 760 in my brother's house 18 years ago with retractable hose he just now lost the Motor in the 760 he has had nothing but joy out of his system by far the best on the market

After always dreaming of having a whole house vac system I finally made that dream a reality in May 2025. What a life changing event! I have always been a finicky housekeeper, a picky one too. I have used almost every brand and type of vacuum on the market and none of them ever did everything the way that I wanted them to. The uprights were great on carpet but not very effective on hard floors. Canisters were the opposite, great on hard floors and above floor work but didn't do carpets well and were so cumbersome to work with and a pain to store. I can clean every surface in my home from rugs, to hardwood, to tile, above floors, dusting, cobwebs, you name it and it is way easier to clean with my whole house vac than any other brand on the market. PLUS, and this is a big one, no dust recirculation, no bags, and I only have to dump the canister in the basement once or twice a year! I went with the VacuFlo FC550 and 12" SEBO Acclaim kit on my main floor, and a second basic hose and bare floor kit for my basement. My home has never been cleaner than it is now and that truly is thanks to my VacuFlo!
